Ok, so I went crazy and made a big Elcie Cosmetics order. Most of the products I ordered are for my kit with the exception of two products. For my kit I got all four of their skin reflector highlighters, both the original Minimalist palette and the Mauve Series, the Hydra Enhancer setting spray and the Elcie Jewels in “Morganite”. For myself I got the Micro Silque foundation and the Bronzer in “Medium”.
The brand is created by makeup artist, Lilit Caradanian, and all products are created with the concept of “universal skin perfection”.
So far I am absolutely obsessed with everything I got. Let’s talk about the highlighters first. They range from light to dark complementing each skin tone. I have the lightest one on right now, “pearly glaze”, and it looks amazing on my skin. They’re very natural but also buildable.
The Minimalist palettes are extremely buttery and blendable. The shades are perfect for everyday and the pans are larger than your average palette. Meaning, you get more product. Either of these palettes would be perfect for beginners, someone who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup or someone who likes quick and effortless makeup.
I had very high hopes for the Hydra Enhancer. Lately, I felt like the texture on my nose was making my makeup look cakey. Adding hydration back into the area will combat a cakey look. Out of all of the sprays I already have and tried they were not helping the case. So my expectations for the setting spray were that it was going to solve my cakey problem and...it did! My makeup looked good without the mist but after spraying the mist my skin looked absolutely amazing! I’m shocked at the difference and so happy with the way it looks. The feeling you get after spraying it is so refreshing as well.
The Elcie Jewels are what pigmentation dreams are made of. The payoff is insane and the texture is what I would describe a cream-to-powder finish. I was only able to get “Morganite” as “Pearl” was sold out so I will be getting that when it comes back in stock. They’re perfect for on the lids to give something extra or even as a base underneath a shadow.
The Micro Silque foundation is not heavy or cakey feeling, matte to demi-matte, has medium to full coverage but looks like skin. So far I’ve had it on my face for 3 hours and it looks the same as when I put it on 3 hours ago.
Lastly, the feel of the bronzer was very similar to the feel of the brown eyeshadows. Very creamy and blendable. The shade is “Medium” and it is the tiniest bit darker than my own skin tone giving a natural look to the skin while adding some warmth.
As you can tell, I am extremely impressed with everything I purchased. I cannot wait to use it on my clients and to see how it works with different skin tones and textures. If you’re in the market for new makeup I would definitely check out Elcie Cosmetics! I also can say I definitely will be trying more of their products.
